Spurling Cannon Community Fund Annual Golf Day – The most successful yet.

Thanks to the generosity of all the donors, hole sponsors & 14 teams the event raised an amazing £2,412 for the East Kent Hospitals Special Care Baby Unit.

Team tactics were in play as Padfield Master Thatchers tried to defend their title, showing the other players they meant business with their matching shirts, but Clark Inns with the advantage of playing their home course came out on top as team winners. To rub a bit more salt into the wounded defending champions, Clark Inns also took the pink ball round beating Padfield Master Thatchers by 1 point.

We welcomed our first ever all female team The Noble Ladies who played a gallant round. Lyndon Williams from another new team, Roma Interiors walked away with the best individual on the day shield. With the nearest the pin award going to Jim Kerr from Phoenix Response and longest drive awarded to Kevin Dixon from Harmony Timber Solutions.

A big thank you to everyone involved in a fantastic day of fundraising and golf, and we look forward to seeing you all and any new challengers on 26 September 2014 for next year’s event.
