Spurling Cannon Charity Golf Day 2015

Spurling Cannon Charity Golf Day  – Friday 18th September 2015

Spurling Cannon Golf Day 2015

Spurling Cannon Golf Day 2015

This year was our 5th Annual Charity Golf Day.  Until now we’ve always been pretty lucky with the weather so I guess it was about time we had a wet one.  And oh my was it wet! Torrential rain the day before meant when we arrived at 7am the course was closed due to water logging!  While we had our coffee & bacon rolls the rain poured down. We waited for news on the course!

At last we heard the news we hoped for, the course was open! Well half of it was! And still it rained! But hey, it’s for charity, the show must go on! And so our brave / mad golfers headed out in their wet weather gear to play some golf!

Fortunately the rain didn’t dampen spirits and good fun was had by all. The rain eased and we even saw a glimpse

of sunshine before the heavens opened again drenching our last team out!  They were good sports and saw the funny side!

After some well deserved hot food we announced our winners and the raffle was drawn.
